Sept. 19 | 8:30-10:30 a.m.
For this trip we’ll head to the south side of Hartford City, where John Velasquez—a member of both our chapter and the Mississinewa Audubon Club—will lead us on a bird walk through Wilderness Park and Prairie.
Together, the two adjacent properties offer trails through 24 acres of woodland and four acres of prairie restoration, where we’ll look for migrating songbirds and enjoy the late summer prairie forbs and grasses.
We’ll meet in the park’s parking lot, at 913 W. Harrison St., Hartford City, at 8:30 a.m.
