| Oct. | Reed Crawford, a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, gave a presentation about the bats of Indiana, including topics of interest like species diversity, roost selection, foraging ecology, and strategies for conservation in urban and rural environments. |

| Jan. | Dr. Christine Sheppard, Bird Collisions Campaign Director for the American Bird Conservancy, presented “Bird mortality from collisions with glass.” She explained why birds collide with glass, how bird populations are declining as a result, and what we can do to help address the problem. |

| Mar. | Terri Gorney Lehman told us about her involvement with FrogWatch USA, a citizen science program. Trained to listen to frog and toad calls, Terri monitored frog populations in an area of Geneva (in Adams County), with special focus on Blanchard’s cricket frogs. |
| Apr. | We celebrated our chapter’s 50th anniversary in early April. Later that month, Ball State graduate students Julian Grudens and Brit Nahorney presented research they’ve conducted on state-endangered Cerulean Warblers, under the supervision of Dr. Kamal Islam, Professor of Biology. |
| May | Grace Lecuyer, Raptor Survey Coordinator with the IDNR, shared details about efforts to protect and enhance the population of Barn Owls—an endangered species in Indiana—through the construction and strategic placement of nest boxes. |
| June | Julie Borgmann, executive director of Red-tail Land Conservancy, shared information about the local land trust’s recent land acquisitions, restoration projects, and outreach programs. |
