Join RCAS friends for the 2023 Great Backyard Bird Count on February 19, at the home of RCAS president Annette Rose, on Prairie Creek Reservoir. Or you can participate on your own, from the comfort of your own home, between February 17 and 20.

The Great Backyard Bird Count is an annual global event sponsored by the National Audubon Society, Cornell Lab of Ornithology, and Birds Canada. For 15 minutes or longer, you need to identify the birds you see or hear, count them, and submit your observations “to help scientists better understand and protect birds around the world.” To learn more and find resources for observing and recording birds, visit www.birdcount.org.
